Bicycle Exercise

The bicycle has always been one of the top exercises for overall ab development. This exercise works the upper and lower abs as well as both sides of the obliques. There is just no other movement that works each area of the abs at the same time as effectively as this one does. Start by lying on your back in a standard crunch position. Raise your shoulders and rotate your torso towards the left at the same time as you bend your left leg and bring it towards your chest. Your right leg should be extended and off of the floor

From here, rotate your body towards the right as you bend your right leg and bring it towards your chest. Your left leg should now be extended out in the air. Keep moving your legs in a pedaling motion while simultaneously crunching from side to side. To make the exercise easier, lift your legs higher into the air as you perform the pedaling motion. Conversely, the exercise will become harder when your legs are just hovering a few inches off of the floor.

Difficulty Rating: 2
