Crossover Pushdowns

To perform crossover pushdowns, begin by holding the stirrup handles in each hand so that the cables are crossed in front of you. Keep your body still as you extend your arms out to your sides.

After your arms reach a fully extended position, slowly return to the starting point. Remember to only move your arms during this exercise; the rest of your body should remain completely immobile.

Tips

* This is another pushdown variation, although it is seen less commonly than the other versions. To build muscle mass, exercises like the rope pushdown are generally considered to be better. Still, this can be a good exercise to add some variety to your workouts.
* This movement mainly uses the lateral head of the triceps.
