Skull Crushers Behind Head


Skull crushers behind head are just like regular skull crushers, except here, you are actually lowering the bar behind your head as the name suggests. Start with your arms extended and the bar above your chest. Then, slowly lower the weight behind your head by bending at the elbows. Try and keep your elbows as close to your body as possible during this exercise.


After you have lowered the bar until it is behind your head and just a few inches above the bench, extend your arms back up to the top.

Tips

* All of the same safety precautions regarding standard skull crushers still apply to this variation.
* This version of the exercise mainly uses the long head of the triceps.
