Standing Concentration Curls

To perform standing concentration curls, begin by holding a dumbbell in one hand and bending forward slightly at the waist, remembering to keep your back straight. You can place your non-working arm on your leg for support. Your palm should be facing sideways so that the weight will be moving toward your chest. Curl the weight up until your bicep is in a fully contracted position.

After you have contracted your bicep, slowly lower the weight back down to the starting position in a controlled manner. Switch sides after you have completed all of your reps.
Tips
* Keep the rest of your body still when performing this movement; only your biceps should be contracting. You will not be able to lift as much weight as with regular dumbbell curls, however that is not the point. This exercise is designed to completely isolate the biceps so that they can be worked without any other muscle groups assisting the lift.
